Add it to your home screen

iPhone: in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add.
Android: in Chrome, tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen → Install.

It then opens full-screen, works with no signal, and your phone stops clearing the data.

Your data

Everything you log is stored on this phone and nowhere else. There's no account, no cloud, and nothing is ever uploaded — not even your receipt photos.

The flip side: if the phone is lost, so are the books. Save a backup now and then and email it to yourself.

Receipt photos aren't in the backup file — it would be far too big to email. Every amount, date and category is. You can also export CSVs from the Tax tab.

Making the estimate accurate

Business nameUsed on the accountant report.Other income this tax yearA part-time job or pension uses up your £12,570 allowance first, so the tax pot needs to know. Leave at 0 if the salon is your only income.

Safety cushionSets aside a little more than the estimate. Handy for your first payment on account.

Built for a sole trader who isn't VAT registered, using the cash basis (you count money when it actually arrives). If you register for VAT, or take on staff, the figures here stop being the whole picture — talk to an accountant.
